TOKYO (Reuters) - No.2 Kazuo Hirai of Sony Corp will be brief media Sunday on a breach of enormous security of its PlayStation Network, the first time that an Executive of the Japanese electronics giant will publicly address case, which could trigger global legal action.

Hirai, online to succeed CEO Howard Stringer, a press conference in Tokyo at 2: 00 pm (1 pm EDT) on the investigation of Sony of the case, its information management system and the timetable for resuming servicesthe company said in a press release Saturday.

On Tuesday, Sony warned that hackers had stolen the names, addresses and possibly details of credit card accounts of users of 77 million of its network of online video game, which produces 500 millions of dollars in annual revenues.

The disclosure of one of the biggest ever online data infiltration came on Tuesday, a week after Sony shut down the network. Frameworks makes no mention of the crisis hours earlier that day when they launched its first Tablet PC.

The delay has prompted anger among online users, although the company said that it was due to a judicial inquiry.

It could lead to legal action in the world and represent a challenge for Hirai, Stringer said is in pole position to succeed him.

In the United States, attorneys general, which act as consumer advocates, have begun to investigate the matter or examine with staff in several States, while the U.S. such as the Federal Trade Commission regulators can become more involved.

Mary Bono Mack, President of the Chamber of representatives on energy and Commerce Committee, Friday sent a letter to Hirai, who is also the President of Sony Computer Entertainment America, asking why the disclosure has been delayed.

In Britain, a Government watchdog has launched an investigation into the incident.

Sony has been thinking up a potential successor to Stringer, who has been vague about his plans for the next fiscal year which begins in April 2012.

Hirai, who was promoted in March at the Executive Deputy President of Sony, used for network products and services division the company including Sony game companies.

Shares of Sony was a success on Thursday, fell nearly 5 percent in Tokyo. The stock exchange was closed Friday, a national holiday.

Sony said it had encrypted all credit card numbers, which would make it extremely difficult for hackers to access these data. But criminals may use other personal information which are not encrypted to run scams.
