YouTube founders toeloop in and buy Delicious of Yahoo (PC World)

Delicious, the pioneer of Web 2.0, and social bookmarking service goes live in in a new Internet company managed by the founders of YouTube Chad Hurley and Steve Chen.

Delicious, whose future had been in question since Yahoo announced its intention to divest itself of the latter, will be part of the Avos, a new company Hurley and Chen launched.

The founders of YouTube provide make Delicious "easier and more fun" as well as sharpen its ability to help users manage overload information, Avos and Yahoo said Wednesday.

Delicious, founded in 2003 by Joshua Schachter, who participates is no longer with it, helped open the way to the era of Web 2.0 applications online, with Flickr which Yahoo has also acquired and others.

Delicious users allows you to save, share, tag and annotate the links of the Web site, offering an approach new generation, in the PC-based cloud traditional storage of bookmarks in Web browsers locally.

Yahoo acquired in 2005 and indicated last year that he sought buyers for the social bookmarking service having decided that it did not correspond to the current strategy of the company.

There will be a period of transition for Delicious as it moves into its new home, but the bookmarks will be maintained. Delicious users will get a chance to open new accounts with Avos.
