Blip.TV focuses on Web shows

Online video network Blip.tv has only relaunched its Web site, with emphasis on helping users discover the original web series better and more high-quality. "There is not a good place dedicated to the discovery of original web content," Blip.tv co-founder and CEO Mike Hudack we said. This is what the new design of blip.tv is hoping to change. The content presented on the site is handpicked to highlight the best quality, most professional offers available. Currently the series 1 800 original is organized into 16 different categories.

What separates blip from other destination content sites, however, is that everything is organized by actual human beings human. It really shines through in the section of recommendation visible on each page of issue and in all categories. An algorithm is not showing users what other shows are similar; show creators and site publishers make their own suggestions.

Each of the series featured web 1 800 has its own show page. The design of these pages is similar to what you might see on Hulu or on Crackle.com from Sony - in other words, these pages look professional.

Each show has a poster of show that is displayed next to the episode clips and offers an additional key of the mark. Show producers can integrate their Twitter and Facebook feeds with their show page, display links to their websites and promote goods. The pages also make it easy for users to browse the archives and producers can organize same content in various series.

The hope is that it may be a place that content creators to promote and use. Many producers blip cross-syndicate their content to other services, in addition to using their own sites.
