HONG KONG - China Telecom Corp. Ltd. (0728.HK), the smallest of the three carriers wireless of the country, is in contact with Apple Inc. (AAPL)(O) to the introduction of iPhone based on CDMA technology, Chairman Wang Xiaochu said Friday.
Wang, speaking to journalists after a meeting of the shareholders, also said that China Telecom would consider Hong Kong as a first priority, if the issue of bonds overseas.
China Telecom, a newcomer on the mobile market in China, operates the largest network of fixed lines in the country and is aggressively promoting broadband on this channel.
