How to solve your problems connecting Skype

A number of Skype users have problems logging in Skype, various sites are reporting this morning. Although many have assumed the service was on the ground, the company said PCMag that its network is very well, and that the problems can be easily fixed.

In a blog this morning ticket, Skype Peter posted instructions on users Parkes how affected on Windows (7, XP and Vista) and Mac OS X machines can get Skype works again. Apparently, the problem in a specific xml file and simply get rid of this file and restart the Skype app will solve this particular problem.

The file in question is called "shared.xml", simply leave the application and the vaporization file should get you Skyping once more (complete instructions are displayed on the next page). Regards why several users would report suddenly the question in virtually the same time, a Skype rep said there was none of the indices, but they have said that the problem affected only a "small number" of users.

A problem with Skype recalls the blackout throughout the system, the service has experienced last December, when Skype declined for the majority of its users around the world. Skype has finally identified and solved the problem in time for Christmas, but the incident raised questions about the reliability of the network peer-to-peer voice and video calling.

Microsoft recently acquired Skype to add to its offers of software, perhaps Skype will benefit to reinforce long-term support to combat these failures. The agreement was finalized only earlier this month, however, so it remains to be seen how it will affect the Skype service.
