I am sceptical about the Amazon Ebook Ratio

Therefore, I have read in the press that Amazon sells more Kindle books than combined hardcover and Pocket Books. I will not buy this. The company says that it sells to 105 ebooks for every 100 printed sold books.

Now, this of course, includes Kindle books read on readers non-Kindle, such as the iPad and other devices that have Kindle software. Either that is much more than people have turn that I previously thought. Of all people, I know, two only have Kindles. I never see them on aircraft, and I check whenever I fly. The last time I saw an ebook reader on a plane, it is a Sony Reader.

I do not deny that the trend towards of ebooks is powerful and growing, but Bezos himself said that it is surprising that the crossover point took place if early. I mean ebook surpassed hardcover numbers, so it is difficult to believe that they have already exceeded all the books.

Therefore, I want to see the numbers.

This set looks like a publicity shot if you ask me. The numbers should be released because he is a major change in societal trends.

It would affect the public reading, business printing, publishers of books, Amazon competitors, corner, public libraries and school libraries. While it is true, everything will change. But where are the numbers?

Therefore I do not. The books were cooked.

Amazon has "used" books it sells or not? Many so-called used titles are really new and not used at all. They are a step counted? Is a book of Kindle 10 pages counted as a book or not?

We do not know, and no one speaks. It is one of the reasons why I am dubious.

I can understand Amazon eager to keep numbers to itself, but it can third party chime in smart and narrow estimates? No, we have nothing.

Now it's an observable fact that Kindle and Tablet owners buy an excessive number of books that they have never read. This is because it is humiliating for someone show your iPad or Kindle if you have some books, say, 10. Believe that you must be stupid if you have so few books on your device. If all the world with one of these things immediately buys a bunch of online books and puts on the drive. It is typical to have 50-100 books. At $10 a pop or less is a good investment in image-making. "Look at me, I'm smart!

In the days olden, you need to bring someone to your home to show how smart you were with your collection of books. Now, the message is portable. In passing, by clicking the ebook on someone drive iPad is the first thing that many people are.

Another impression that encourages sales ebook is the model of the former book. When a hot book is out, and you wanted to buy to read later, you would get it while it was hot, then you immediately. This phenomenon goes too for Kindle books. With an ebook reader, if you want to read a book, you literally can wait as long as you want. the book will always be there ready for download. But no, the people download ASAP. Then, the book is sitting on the forgotten device.

If the e-book is not much in terms of sales, but the number of printed books sold to the United States only amounted to 40 billion (net) in the days prior to the Kindle. (This number is debatable). Unit sales have said that more than 3 billion pounds. United States, Amazon has a huge piece of the action, and to request that most sales (not income volume) are of ebooks, it is difficult to imagine.

EBooks are great. They offer breeds an enormous opportunity editing. But if Amazon is selling e-books more than printed books and I was an editor of great brand, I would be jumping from a window right now. I do not see that password is.

Show me the numbers!
