ICloud Apple Service identified as "Castle" (PC World)

References to what may be a code for Apple Rumors iCloud service name are reported in latest Mac OS X Lion developer preview by the French blog Consomac.

Researchers for the blog were looking for references to find my Mac, iCloud and MobileMe when they encountered the so-called "Castle". Specifically, they were able to locate strings that say "Complete your upgrade of the Castle" and "click OK to open the system preferences and complete your upgrade of MobileMe at Castle.".

At this stage, it is safe to assume the "Castle" is called iCloud to the public. The rumor that Apple bought the domain iCloud.com for 4.5 million dollars of a Swedish Webtop and a file storage service online recently renamed itself as CloudMe.

Why cash unload serious in a domain name unless you have serious plans for it?

Links to MobileMe suggest "Castle" will be much more of Apple's online music service. It may be encompassing cloud storage solution for music, photos, contacts, files and the rest of your digital documents.

It is logical, considering the packaging of current retail sale of MobileMe was recently removed to shop online for Apple and have been marked for the "end of life".

Could "Castle" and iCloud be the same? I guess that we will have an idea pretty darn good in a month when iOS and OS X took Centre stage at the WWDC.
