Microsoft losing share browser as IE9 gains traction (digital trends)

New data from Net Applications suggests that any part of Microsoft's Web worldwide browser market continues to lower, users of Windows Vista and Windows 7 are increasingly adopting Internet Explorer 9. According to Net Applications, Internet Explorer 9 represented a few per cent of 7.46 all users of Internet Explorer in the month of April - and for the last day of April who share measured almost 10%. The figure is more than double use 9′s Internet Explorer in March, which was approximately 3.6%.

However, at the same time, the market share of the passing continues to slide, Microsoft browser to 55.9%, through all versions of Internet Explorer, in March, to 55.1% in April. Overall, the Google Chrome and Apple's Safari browser has exceeded overall growth in the Web, with chromium stepping up for a share of 11.6% in March to 11.9% in April, and Apple's Safari in growth of 6.6% to 7.2% during the same period of time. Mozilla Firefox spent a bit of 21.8% to 21.6% - despite the introduction of Firefox 4 — but continues to have a commanding officer lead on the position of number two behind Internet Explorer. Overall, Firefox represents 5.4% of the Web browser market.

Collectively all versions, Microsoft Internet Explorer continues to dominate the browser market, and while over 33 per cent of Internet users in April have been using IE8, almost 11% worldwide were still using Internet Explorer 6a version of ten years in the notorious browser support and poor standards safety faults. Although Microsoft is pure and simple plead users to upgrade to a more modern browser, Internet Explorer 6 remains a significant barrier to new standards of the Web and developing Web modern services - even if a growing number of sites of high visibility and services is no longer support IE6. Microsoft itself does not help matters in some respects: Internet Explorer 9 does not support Windows XP.
