As popular as the iPad and other tablets have been, many users were frustrated by the shortage of supply on shelves of storage space, and Seagate feels their pain. The benefits of local storage are now combined with the convenience of Wi - Fi of Seagate new external hard drive wireless, GoFlex Satellite and accompanying app GoFlex Media.
The Seagate GoFlex's Satellite is a portable hard drive, offering 500 GB of storage space, connectivity wireless 802 Wi - Fi and rechargeable battery. The hard disk has a built-in lithium polymer battery that provides up to five hours of continuous video streaming or 25 hours of life of the battery mode ensures.
In addition to Satellite GoFlex hard drive, Seagate offers a free app for devices iOS which further maximizes the life of the battery through progressive download. It temporarily downloads media on the iOS device, leaving the reader to return to standby mode while the user benefits from their video. Although currently only available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, Android app version is scheduled for release later this summer.
Seagate includes also with the purchase of its media synchronization software, which allows to synchronize all video, music and photo on a Windows or Mac computer files, including media purchased through iTunes. The software can also be used to synchronize files non-médias, such as documents.
Although that designed primarily for use with wireless, the Seagate GoFlex's Satellite also includes charging cables of the House and the car, and USB 3.0 cable, quick to connect directly to a computer with USB.
The Seagate GoFlex's Satellite is now available for preorder by Seagate, Amazon and Best Buy for a suggested $ 199.99 retail price. Units should be available in mid-July and global United States later this summer.
