Should buy you an iPad if you already have an iPhone or iPod touch?

If you're like us, you will probably find new technology almost irresistible. It is always good to have larger and newer devices and gadgets, but justifying the purchase can be a little difficult. This is especially true with similar devices, such as the line of Apple iOS - the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Familiarity
If you have an iPhone or an iPod touch, you'll be very comfortable to find your way on an iPad autour. It offers the same capacity to navigate the Web and the app store even play music and videos and do all what we can expect an iOS device.

Navigate through the touch interface is the same as well. Pinch the screen to zoom in, or slide your finger across the display to switch to the next screen or page.

Portability
One of the main things that you should consider buying an iPad is how mobile you intend to be. An iPhone or iPod touch can easily slip into your pocket when you do not use it. Because of its greater size is obviously not possible with an iPad.

Another thing to keep in mind is that unless you are sitting in a place, the iPad takes 2 hands to use a€ "one to hold the device and the other to actually use it." An iPod touch or iPhone can easily be held and operated with one hand, with your thumb scanning, tap, and text.

The screen size
One of the biggest differences between an iPad and any other device iOS is the size of the screen. There are thousands of video games for iPad specific, cookbook, art and music apps (just to name a few) extreme than what that either their screening more little brothers and sisters are able to out-do.

Apps and activities that all iOS devices are capable of, such as surfing the web or watch a video, were also tend to be much more enjoyable on a larger screen. It is mainly because you do not have to squint to see details or zoom and back just to read the text.

Speed
The iPad certainly has a leg up in the Department of the speed from an iPhone or iPod touch. The most recent version is equipped with a processor dual-core 1 GHz A5, and greatly improved graphics performance. Once the new iPhone and iPod touch models come out, it is probably safe to assume that they will get a bump in speed-nice, but for now, the iPad has beat bottom.

Things to keep in mind
Here are a few things to keep in mind before making your final decision.

Telephone calls Remember that an iPad is somewhat similar to an iPod touch - if he is able to make calls from FaceTime, it is not able to perform traditional telephone calls.Internet access While all versions of the iPad are able to connect to a wifi network, there are other models that can also access AT & T or Verizon Wireless cellular networks. If you think that you will need access to the web while on the go, you can search one of these models. Remember, there will be monthly fee of the carrier for this access. For more details at the head of AT & T or Verizon store.Other alternatives If you are only using your iPad to browse the web, watch videos and listen to music, a laptop or netbook may be a better alternative. Most have larger screens and faster processors and can even cost more or less the same.
