Free games? Free DLC? What do you want of Sony in compensation for its desperately long interruption of PlayStation Network?
Sony Online network is since 20 April, after it has been hacked by an unknown party. Sony has since continued, accusing the company does not adequately protect, encrypt and secure the data of its customers. The suit seeks damages for the loss of data and the PlayStation Network downtime.
That might have in the spirit of Sony Friday, when last ticket blog addressed company what will happen games registered client, data and other aspects of the game.
Perhaps the most interesting bit of information is listed at the bottom, however: "it will be a gesture of good will for the moment we have not been able to use the PSN/Qriocity?" blog FAQ application. "We are currently assessing ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these back online services."
Sony Online Entertainment has also said that it will hold "special events" for subscribers to its "dc Universe online" and "free realms" massively multiplayer online games
Unlike the Xbox Live network, Sony PlayStation Network is a free service. But unable to play multiplayer games, download music, movies, and the new demos and have access to other online services is unbearable, especially with so extended a failure.
Which customers should get?
Given that the PSN is a free service, does not satisfy me completely that we should be compensated with free goodies. On the other hand, which is partially offset by the fact that I still have tons of solo games on my delay. I am a fanatic "call of duty", I would be pissed.
And that gives us a foundation to begin to build our argument.
No particular order, here are five things that Sony might consider granting clients to appease the:
(A) three months free subscription to more than PlayStation. A value of $4 / month, the service offer of free games, discounts, trials of game for an hour and more. It would be an excellent medium to hook people on the service and giving them gifts as a way of saying "sorry".
(Free multiplayer DLC). Parenting a toddler takes an away of multiplayer game elements, trash-talk, which means that I usually spend my evenings offing villains controlled by computer. But choose a few games multiplayer-centric and offering some free DLC (or experience to support) could be calm some nerves.
(Games, games, games). The easiest solution, but one of the most popular. Allow the players a credit of $10 ($30?) in the PlayStation Store, and that they go nuts. Wall Street loves it, but heck with em.
(Kevin Butler) undertakes a rite of penance ritual via a video online. I think that it is because the community games in any way, but who do not want to see this?
(Services supervision 5.) free credit for one year. Boring, right? Say that to all those who feel (correctly or not) that their credit card has been stolen or duplicated after the hack.
Bonus: "I want that delivery to the my cash so that I can go and purchase and [sic] Xbox 360 Elite." "I do not trust Sony anymore!"via @ romanticnnature on Twitter.
