EVO 2 console will bring gaming Android on your TV (digital trends)

Mobile games are now in fashion, but given the option, would you really want to play on your television angry birds? Envizions Computer Entertainment Corporation build on Yes, as it announced today that the planned economy the fall release of its EVO 2 console, which repackages Android for a small screen, much more important.

A press release reveals that the console, which will allow the retail for $249, contains a Samsung 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of DDR2 memory and a 2.2 modified Android operating system. The package also includes a TV remote EVO, a game controller and a HDMI cable, which is one of the HDMI cables more than all other available game consoles currently Pack in the box. The company welcomes early adopters to intensify and to put an end to a pre-order, store online Envizions.

The EVO 2 is the first of its kind, a dedicated console ports game mobile experience on your TV. There is apparently a kind of system in place, by which players can earn points that can be converted into tokens EVO (somehow). These tokens are then used to buy a "premium Android games [for] free". The console will also ship with "game cloud storage" and Qquip SMS blogging rewards service company whatever that is. Envizions also plans to add a 3D motion sensor later in the year.

As Android itself, the EVO 2 is identified as an "open console", which means that users can tweak the internal software components to their hearts content. Envizions will also of course support the "new updates and upgrades" device following the release of the fall. Developers can get a jump now, ordering a kit of dev work with provided free console you will be to commit to an annual fee of $149 for each support.

The question is, is it really necessary? The main appeal of the mobile game is mobility. Angry birds is damn fine fine, but is - something, you can see yourself sitting on the couch to play through your TV? Perhaps a dedicated console and appropriate gamepad will inspire developers to work on several Android console-style games. But again… why? Mobile graphics processors are much impressive, but once again, it is because they look good on the go. If you are sitting in a game on your TV, would rather play the Gangstar last or the latest Grand Theft Auto? The $249 price point makes the EVO 2 as in the current-gen consoles, but the games, it can potentially provide - at least that is what Android gaming has delivered to date - cannot expect to compete on the same level as your version Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 average.
