iPad are 2 sales stop at Korea South two carriers (PC Magazine)

Top two carriers of the Korea of the South have stopped selling the iPad 2 online because of shortages, Reuters is reported.

Although there has been less than a week since the iPad 2 is on sale in the country, SK Telecom and KT Corp have been unable to sell tablets of second generation of Apple Tuesday because supplies of the device were so limited.

"Our inventory iPad 2 has been exhausted and we apologize for failing to provide enough supplies due to global supply shortages of the product", SK Telecom said on its Web site.

None of the two companies have just disclosed how many iPads they sold. However, it is undeniable that the very popular Apple Tablet sales were strong. The iPad has made his debut at the United States on March 11 and Apple have sold almost a million iPad 2 s the first weekend, after waiting time for the device went up to five weeks.

Apple has expanded the device for 25 additional countries on March 25, and it would run just as quickly. 2Launched iPad in a dozen more countries including the Korea of the South on April 29, where it seems Apple is experiencing similar issues with supply.

Apparently Apple has not been able to meet the demand for the iPad 2, and it reported lower sales of iPad in its most recent earnings report. Apple 4.69 million iPads sold in the last quarter, a decline of 7.33 million sold in the fourth quarter, when iPads which included the peak sales season holiday.

In the appeal, Director of the company Tim Cook said the faces of "the mother of all arrears" society with the iPad 2.

The reason for the backlog is not clear, but it is blamed on a few problems, including a glitch in production, a shortage of touch, LCD screens and a shortage in the iPad 2 new President.
