Amazon may be preparing to launch its own tablet, according to a source known for leaks of the bites of news about the upcoming gadgets in the works from abroad. The source, Journal of tech Taiwan DigiTimes, argues that Amazon spent commands for the device with Quanta Computer, the so-called Taiwanese manufacturer operated crank on the shelves.
Quanta believes that the production of tablets forthcoming Amazon would peak at 700 to 800 000 units per month and that devices will begin shipping in the second half of 2011. The report also indicated that Amazon would work with the company behind the E Ink Kindle display, suggesting that a colored screen readable in bright light may be in the cards.
News flowing on component Asian product lines is not historically reliable, but it is not the first rumour of a tablet of the the web retail giant. Amazon may be a synonym name of online shopping, but it is also an aggressive innovator who has already a gadget with its own e-reader, Kindle success story.
The retailer has been expanding its horizons as of late, and it seems that Amazon wants to put a foot in each door, storage in the cloud with Amazon Cloud Drive their own Android app store. Prepare an Amazon mark tablet would experience more, this time in the market to handle tablet.
