Report: Apple and Samsung AMOLED screen partnership bring to iPad 3

Korean paper claims that Apple partners with Samsung to bring the iPad 3 of its technology to display (AMOLED) Active Matrix organic light-emitting Diode.

A "source" told the Korea Herald "Apple wants to take advantage of Samsung AMOLED technology for an enhanced version of the iPad 2. The site also stated that Apple chief operating officer Tim Cook began to discuss with Samsung on the possibility of integrating the technology on a recent trip to South Korea, and the exchange rate the end of the year for the launch of next generation of Apple tablet.

Apple did not improve the display of the iPad with the second iteration of the device, which he published in March and rumours on the legendary 3 iPad screen have already begun to trickle in. Earlier this month, reports circulated that the next iPad featuring a 3D display.

This is not the first time that there was a screen AMOLED buzz. DigiTimes said earlier this year that the iPad 3 would have a more brilliant AMOLED, more high resolution screen.

Considering that apple recently sued Samsung, alleging infringement of patents and trademarks, the latest rumor is not true.

In addition, the iPad 3 probably not be released in 2011. Apple likely to stick to his usual habit and to update the iPad annually, which would mean the next iPad due date would be spring 2012.

DIGITIMES is a frequent source of rumors of Apple, he has recently debunked the myth of a second iPad this year, saying that Apple is still in the "initial planning phase" with the device, and releasing the next iPad so soon would simply "bite off the coast of the iPad part 2"
