Sony can resume Tuesday the United States-based online games: report (Reuters)

TOKYO (Reuters) - Sony Corp. plans to resume its online gaming service based in the United States on Tuesday, following a massive security breach last month, Kyodo news agency, said Friday.

The giant consumer electronics was forced to close its network of PlayStation games and its network of games online on PC after discovering that hackers had accessed personal details on user accounts more from $ 100 million last month.

Sony Yoshiko Uchiyama spokesman refused to confirm the report, saying only that the company was still targeting the end of may for the restoration of all the services around the world.

The company has been gradually see restore its PlayStation Network, access to the United States after it has been victim of one of largest cyber attacks ever. Sony has since because the fire for lax security and not disclosing the breach earlier.

Shares of Sony closed up 0.3% Friday to production yen against a plunge of 0.1% in the benchmark Nikkei average.
