As the Internet Explorer 6 continues Deathwatch, another web service - WordPress.com - announced to end the support of the web browser of almost ten years.
Citing "deceit code more complex so that the dashboard of WordPress runs", the company announced end to support for IE6.

The dashboard will still load for users of IE6, it just doesn't work very well. IE6 users will be alerted that their browser is obsolete and has given direct links to the updates in browser or download an alternative browser via the website to browse happy.
In addition to the abandonment of support IE6, WordPress.com has also deployed a few new features, including a redesigned and revamped dashboard and a new mode of writing free of distraction.
These features - as well as the end of life for IE6 support - will make their way to self-hosted installs WordPress with WordPress 3.2. The beta version of WordPress 3.2 is now available for download and the final version should arise in June.
WordPress.com, which welcomes millions of Web sites, joined a long list of suppliers who have officially decided that enough is enough for IE6. In March, Microsoft launched its own global campaign calling at the end of the browser.
