Amazon adds 3 G support Ad Kindle E-Reader

After finding Super success with its Kindle with special offers, Amazon.com launched a 3 G model for $164. Many believe that blow after the online retailer will be a tablet computer.

Amazon has recently reported that the Kindle Wi - Fi with special offers became the bestseller of the e-reader Kindle line member to the United States. Now the 3 G model will follow in his footsteps to give clients access to save money for special offers, such as $10 for a gift card $ 20 Amazon, $500 off the coast of televisions and much more.

"It was only six weeks since we introduced the new Kindle $114 with offers special and already customer made the bestseller Kindle family member," said Jay Marine, Director of the Amazon Kindle. "In response to the requests of the customers, we are now making these special offers to save the money available to turn on 3 G.".

The Tipping Point

What types of ads users will see when reading on a Kindle ad supported? Ads for Buick cars, ads for Proctor & Gamble Olay products and ads for Visa, among others. These companies are sponsoring the first series of screensavers designed to Kindle electronic ink display.

With special Kindle offers 3 G will also offer Amazon offers such as $6 for six audio books (normally $68), $ 1 for an album in the Amazon MP3 store, $10 for $30 for products in the shop of Denim Amazon or Amazon Swim Shopa free $100 Amazon gift card if you receive a rewards Amazon Visa card, and 50 percent off the coast of a player Roku streaming.

"When you get below $200 and you start approaching $100, you get in the category"Does it need to ask my wife if I can buy this"," said Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group level. "The breaking point shoots up to the potential audience by a factor of 10 at every point." Be able to hit these price points, or at least get close, is working well enough for the product. "It is clearly critical in competition with the tablets, which are finding it much more difficult to abandon in this price range."

The Amazon Tablet

This raises the question: Will Amazon launch a Tablet? Many observers have questioned this week and Enderle think that the answer is Yes. This is because, as he sees it, the Kindle has to offer a color model to appease consumer magazines and rich image content. Colors of e ink screens did not offered high-quality yet. Thus, if Amazon can not find a way to operate, a Tablet is the next evolution.

"I do not think that the Amazon market druthers a tablet, but once they have it they will be without a doubt it connect to the service of film of the Amazon and some other cloud services that will be it support and have a reasonably rich set of features of Amazony including access to the storage.", cloud "Enderle said." "" My expectation is that a tablet of Amazon would be a little unique. ?

The Ad game: Amazon Kindle Ad - supported help it sell more E-readers

Ads can be a way for Amazon prevent the Apple to siphon away customers.

\ Amazon indicates the version of support ad $114 Kindle e-Reader is stern as his best-selling electronic point.

With the Amazon tablet should launch some time in 2011, Amazon could use lower prices than reel in customers hate to spend more money on the iPad tablet. Having the devices to carry ads could help the company turn a buck selling its less expensive devices.

Considering how many of your applications, running wild with ads, a merchant of the discrete ads Amazon tablet could be a boon to consumers who want a cheap tablet.

The Kindle has been a success since its release in 2007. Amazon has never revealed specific sales numbers, analysts estimate that $ 8 million kindles have been sold in 2010. But he has faced intense new competition for people who want to read books electronically since Apple released its iPad elegant and easy to navigate, costs $499 for a Wi-Fi-only version.

Amazon "Special offers" Wi-Fi-only version the Kindle, which includes announcements on the home page and screen saver, was a good idea to help lower the price. It is less expensive than the Kindle 139 $25.

But, Amazon could do more. Where is the free Kindle? That it is using ads to e-books - items people actually buy to read on the device - less expensive?

Time will tell if Amazon sees this as an opportunity to expand the use of advertisements to sell its electronics.

Amazon does update Kindle without ink display E-Next-Gen (PC Magazine)

If you are holding out until the next generation Kindle comes out to buy the device, you can be on hold for some time. E Ink is not update its display, this year, which means that there will be many new e-readers until then.

Last week, Sri Peruvemba, Director of marketing for E Ink, stopped by the PCMag offices to talk about the latest technology of that production of the company. He said that e Ink is usually a cycle of updating about two years. Display black and white of the company is currently in its fourth generation, but the next generation will be published this year, he said.

E ink itself is not a new phenomenon. The company exists since 1997. Color E Ink, on the other hand, is much more recent, and it is a first generation product. The color screen is made possible by a filter which is placed on the screen black and white original. Although it is a color screen, the colors are muted and step as dynamic as you would see in a tablet with LCD.

Whereas the color screen is in its infancy and still of improvements to the display in black and white were not released, consumers probably won't see a color Kindle, or even a Kindle for Amazon soon update. In fact, he is editing suggest that amazon is preparing to Android-based Tablet.

Amazon recently made its debut Kindle with special offers, a grant program ad that strikes the price of the device up to $114. Rather than an incentive for new customers, it could be a test for a platform of advertising more large, which would allow Amazon to produce a tablet at more competitive prices, perhaps $250 or less, allowing him to take on very popular iPad of Apple 2.

Amazon has also opened its own Appstore Android recently. In addition, Amazon has unveiled a cloud music service that allows to store their music for free online and play via Mac, PC and phones and Android tablets (but not the iOS devices).

The pieces of the puzzle are falling into place for a tablet of Amazon. But also E Ink goes, Peruvemba sees the company as a thrust in the education sector. E Ink has opened a factory in China which produce prototypes for educational tablets, a goal that he thinks is suitable for E ink colors.

E Ink also reduced the rate of cooling for its display of 250 milliseconds only 50 milliseconds, which allows to run a full video. Interestingly, E Ink has also produced flexible screens, thus a foldable e-reader could be on the horizon of the next few years.

When the current Kindle started last summer, he appreciated many improvements with E Ink, including the best contrast, faster page turn, new custom fonts and smaller form factor. The Kindle has been the best-selling of all time Amazon element, so a greater improvement should be made with e ink until the company has produced a new version of the device. These improvements are coming, but not yet.
